NEWS LETTER FOR END OF SECOND TERM 2022/2023 ACADEMIC SESSION
1.0 APPRECATION
We give thanks to the Almighty God for seeing us through to the end of second term.Our appreciation also goes to all parents/Guardians for your support and useful advice during the term particularly those that exhibited the culture of INTENTIONAL PARENTING. We hope that you will continue to support the school towards creating a conducive environment for effective teaching and learning.
2.0 CHECKING OF LEARNERS RESULT

In case you have misplaced the previous result , kindly contact your child’s class teacher or form master or call 08183194902. But for new learners the serial number and the default password will be sent to you via sms. Please note that checking result online will be accessible as from Friday 14th April, 2023 while the hard copies will be ready as from 5tth May, 2023.
3.0 UPDATE ON EXTERNAL EXAMINATION
The 2023 JAMB UTME will commence from 25th April, to 2nd of May 2023. while WASSCE may likely start early May 2023. NECO SSCE between June and July ending both state and National BECE for JSS3 students will be written between June and early August 2023.Entrance examination for primary 5 & 6 pupils are as follows:Air force Military School Jos 22nd April, 2023Nigeria Military School NMS Zaria May 2023Federal Unity School June 2023Entrance into JSS1 Greater Heights Academy 8th July, 2023NoteEach candidate is expected to bring into the examination hall the following items Scientific Calculator, Mathematical sets, Mathematical Four figure table.
4.0 EXTENSION CLASSES Primary 5 & 6, JSS 3 and SS3 are expected to resume for examination extension classes on Wednesday 12th April, 2023 from Monday – Thursday, Time 9am-1:30pm.
5.0 SECOND TERM MAJOR EEVENTS5.1 Inter-house Quiz and Debate Competition.As part of activities to mark the end of second term academic session the above event was organized to deepen the academic prowess of our learners as well as promoting their public speaking skills.On Monday 3rd April the programme started with Quiz competition in which Blue House is leading with a margin that is likely to be quashed by the resilient spirits of other houses. Due to fracas that erupted in part of Chikun Local Government and subsequent imposed curfew we could not hold the debate on Tuesday 4th April, 2023. However the management has rescheduled the programme to hold on Monday 15th May, 2023 Concurrently with the school traditional programme WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL5.2 PTA MEETINGThe parent teacher forum was also held with a large number of members in attendance. 6.0 TAKE HOME ASSIGNMENT
Take home assignment in Mathematics, English and Basic science have been given to your child. He/she is expected to answer the questions and submit at resumption.
7.0 EXIT
This is to inform you that Mr Adebisi Solomon the Geography Teacher is no more a staff of Greater Heights Academy. This is due to His relocation down south to take care of his sick brother.8.0 RESUMPTION FOR THIRD TERM. The third term academic session will commence on Tuesday 2nd May, 2023. The forecast of events for third term will be sent to you on resumption latest 5th May, 2023.
CONCLUSION
Behind a successful child, there is a father or a mother or someone. Let strive, to be an intentional parent, As a school we will continue to do our best.
